A warm touch on those cool days… Submitted by Jamie C.
– 1 cabbage head
– 2 lbs. ground deer meat
– 1 lb. sausage
– 1 large onion
– 1 jar of salsa
– 64 oz. bottle of vegetable juice
Chop cabbage into 1 inch chunks and boil in the vegetable juice. While the cabbage is boiling, chop the onion and add along with the salsa to the cabbage. Fry the deer meat just enough to brown it; add it to the cabbage. Just as you did the deer meat fry the sausage enough to brown it and add it as well. Let the soup boil for about thirty minutes and serve. Make sure the cabbage and onion are both soft before you add the meat. If you like spicy food you can add sliced jalapenos on top.
