United Way Charity Trap Shoot

“Clays 2 Raise” Helps Hit the Mark

Legendary Whitetails 2.4.2015

February 5, 2015 – Earlier this week the United Way of Washington County recognized everyone who gave, advocated, and volunteered during the 2014 United Way campaign.  With generous donations from local area businesses and donors, United Way surpassed its fundraising goal of $1.3 million and raised a healthy $1,305,892 benefitting local health and human service programs.

As a proud contributor to the United Way, Legendary Whitetails was a top 20 donor during the 2014 campaign.  They sponsored a successful “Clays 2 Raise” Trap Shoot Classic at the Hartford Conservation and Gun Club and aims to substantially grow the event to help the 2015 campaign.

“At Legendary Whitetails, we believe it is important to give back to our local community every chance we can,” said Greg Huffman, president of Legendary Whitetails. “We’re honored to sponsor the ‘Clays 2 Raise Trap Shoot Classic’ and bring together our hunting friends in southeastern Wisconsin to help support the great work of the United Way of Washington County.”

The 2014 Campaign Celebration Video (below) features several snapshots of the first “Clays to Raise”‘ event Legendary Whitetails sponsored last summer.

The new 2015 campaign is a focused-initiative on employment. In collaboration with Washington County Workforce Alliance and a panel of community volunteers, United Way is currently planning a strategy that will help young adults develop the work ethic needed to obtain and retain employment.

“Washington County has been a great corporate home since we moved our Headquarters a short five years ago.  In these challenging times, I’m proud to share our corporate success in support of the essential community needs around which United Way has built its strategic partnerships,” explained Legendary Whitetail President, Greg Huffman.

Legendary Whitetails hopes to announce the date for the 2015 Clays to Raise trap shoot in a few weeks.  The inaugural 2014 event raised over $13,000 for United Way.
